What do guys think about asking and going on a hike with a girl?

A guy friend invited me to go on a hike with him... the funny thing is that no guy has ever invited to go on something fun/nature-ish hanging out kinda thing lol I don't know if that even made sense. Anyway also why would a guy ask a girl on a hike? does it mean something or is it not meaningful. Keep in mind that we text everyday... we became very good friends now and he is cheesy with me sometimes hahaha, but I don't know what to expect on the hike tbh

Well first make sure if it is a date or a hang out. After enjoy hanging out with him on the hike. My female freind said that she loved to hike. So I invited her and a few others on a hike. After she flaked on the first one I invited her out on another hike. She flaked again so I just stopped inviting her. I also guess that she lied about liking to hike. If you enjoy being with him go on a hike with him. Enjoy just spending time talking with him.

It could mean something, but you won't know unless you go out with him. I think hiking would be a good date idea because you two get to spend time together walking and talking and you're also enjoying the scenery as you walk. Doing activities on a date is a fun way to get to know someone, too bad not many people do it.

If I were you I'd act natural, wear appropriate clothing (walking boots and proper socks, nobody wants blisters) and enjoy yourself. I love going on hikes, I go on hikes with every one, he is probably an outdoor personality, and going on a hike to him is the equivalent of going to a restaurant, to me that's the perfect first date, hiking up, be there before sunrise, and take the day from there. Or even just a day out, doesn't matter, bonus is you get qualitative to talk and get to know each other.

A friend asked me to go on while with her. We drove out to the desert and did a hour and a half trail with her family and it was tons of fun. Then after that we had a picnic and watched the stars. It was pretty damn cool.
