Why are you so jealous of my gay guy friend?

My boyfriend is jealous of my gay guy friend. He just is and can't help it and that's OK since he never acts upon it since he knows me and my guy friend are girlfriends...But there are some people that behave jealously of these relationships. Why?

Gay or not, he's still a guy.

There are plenty of gay guys who would perform sexual acts on females despite being gay (not bi).

You feel more open to have deeper conversations because you see him as not having any sexual motives for befriending you. Those conversations can quickly lead to you over sharing details about your boyfriend and the relationship that he has no business knowing.

Chance that the friend could be labeled gay to the boyfriend when he isn't

Who are his friends that you eventually going to start spending time with?

And to any really good looking dude who's been approached by a mediocre girl and told, you're hot, please tell me you're straight, would know that sometimes girls are attracted to the guy before knowing he gay

I understand a lot of these points aren't going to be common, but I was just trying to list out anything and everything I could think of.

It happens when:

1. A past girlfriend had cheated on them

2. Feeling of insecurity created by girlfriend having a separate and close relationship with a guy (even if gay) making the boyfriend feel that she likes being with the guy more than with him

Basically, jealousy comes out of insecurity. Some guys get angry if the girlfriend has close guy friends, that comes out of possessiveness.

Yea. My boyfriend is only jealous of my gay friend, but luckily he never makes it a big deal. I never knew about it until I asked him if he was jealous of anybody and I thought he would pick a million people before my gay friend so I was really suprised. Nobody has ever cheated on my boyfriend though, but I do hang out with my gay friend a lot more. We've been friends forever and my boyfriend is kinda long distance so it's hard to see him as often.

To him, he probably still sees him as a guy who has your attention more than him. Maybe he's worried that you'll develop something with your gay friend? Or maybe it's the fact that you're hanging out with a biologically male more than him? A gay friend is still a guy friend.

Yea. I understand...but I didn't mean to say it particularlly about my boyfriend. He's really fine with my relationship with my gay friend, but some people get REALLY angry about it.

Oh... I guess they're just insecure and worried that that gay friend would magically become straight and do something with the girl, especially if that gay friend is not the crossdressing type. XD

Either that, or some guys are just plain scared of gay people... Apparently, and sad to say, some of them discriminate the homosexuals and some of them are even scared that their girlfriend's gay friend might be attracted to them. lol

Yea. Well, I know all about homophobes. My dad is a HUGE one. It disgusts me how violent he gets about it and as far as friend's magically becoming straight? My bff who is a girl and I've been friends with since like 1st grade has this possesive boyfriend who thinks she's going to cheat on him with me. I admit I'm a little gay, but that would be super weird. Not to mention I think I would have made a move by now. lol.

And about the jealousy thing with your bff? Lol I know how you feel XD I am bisexual (though I don't make moves on taken girls) and sometimes, one of my close friends get suspicious and jealous of me. When I had a sleepover at my friend's house, I heard her tell her girlfriend before they took separate routes that she could trust her and that she will not do anything with me, but homework. I laughed my butt off for that because really, she'd still pick her -

But yeah, being rejected sucks balls lol and we ended up just being friends. Not surprised that her girlfriend would still be jealous of me when I hang out with her even after the feelings died though XD
