How can I make more friends?

I’m homeschooled and I lost a lot of friends due to being republican and all during everything that has happened since 2020. I now have one close friend but I feel like we are drifting away.
my siblings with always be out with friends every weekend while I’m home with my parents whom I love and am so grateful for but I feel really alone sometimes. Everyone has these big groups of friends and I feel like I know no one anymore. I used to have friends in public school and although the opportunities in homeschool have been great I lost that group.
im getting more involved with my church and the group is really nice and we talk but everyone is so socially awkward I’m not too sure how to get closer with anyone.

Find a non-profit organization that supports a cause you believe in and volunteer. You can also join an organization that promotes an interest of yours. Take on responsible roles, so people can see you in action rather than just how you look. Eventually, someone will rise out of the crowd.

Being republican means you hate the poor, you hate gays, you hate science… it’s hard to make non-republican friends with those views

If that is what you think it means then I guess I’m not but I am standing for what is right which is Definitely not what’s going on here today. I don’t HATE anyone. I am a strong Christian. I don’t hate gays, I only don’t support them. I don’t hate science, I believe in the Bible. I don’t understand where you get the I hate poor people, because I am part of a hardworking family. I believe that whatever you want you should work for. Not be receiving assistance from the government. I am honestly confused as to why you would assume these things about me. You don't support gay people, you don't believe in science, of course it's hard to make friends. Republicans are against free healthcare, which helps the poor. Having for-profit healthcare means people literally die because they can't afford medicine. If that isn't hate, what is?

I really don’t want to argue. But People need to understand that not supporting a certain group, not just gays, doesn’t mean I won’t treat them the same and love them as I do anyone else. And you cannot tell me that I’m the only one who believes this and no one will agree with me. Also with science, the only “part” of science I’m choosing not to believe is the parts that go against my faith. Im sorry to have gotten into any argument with you. But I will not change my boundaries and beliefs to make others happy

You were asking why it's hard to make friends if you hold horrible beliefs. If you don't support someone just because they are gay, that's horrible. If you don't want free healthcare so that poor people die because they can't afford medicine, that is horrible. I'm just explaining that those views will keep you from making the vast majority of friends.
