I had a complete hysterectomy back in November due to a cancer diagnosis. Had to do a 5 week 28 round radiation from January to February. Ever since the surgery I've been having trouble sleeping. I was also put into early menopause because everything was removed during the surgery. Also radiation just made it worse. I'm working on getting my sleep back on track because I have to take three 25mg equate benadryl in hopes of being asleep by at least 1. 2 on a good day. If I don't do that I'm up until 5 am. Tired throughout the day because of it. If I'm selfish so be it but I'm not working like that. Especially given my choice of work which is childcare. I had a doctors appointment because I have a very large herniated disc in my lower back. The doctor said until I'm like having no control over my body than to just leave it be but if pain worsens than come back. My dad and my sister are pressuring me to get a job now. My sister is convinced something is wrong with my brain and I need a sleep study. My dad just wants money from me since he doesn't work. (Disability). Anyways... am I in the wrong or is it them. Thanks for letting me vent 😂

My goodness that’s a lot going on, but i hope you are generally doing ok and taking care of yourself. To answer your question, I don't know if there’s really a right or wrong here. Not in regards to your sister because she just sounds blatantly oblivious to your situation and just writing it off, no offense to her. As for your dad though, it’s like rock meets hard place because unfortunately someone’s gotta work if there’s no real means of money coming in. Being disabled I don't know how much he gets from that or if it’s enough to cover household and living expenses, including bills and just extracurriculars. If you guys are doing ok financially without additional income from you then maybe you could chat with your dad about staying out of work for a bit longer to get your health situated. But if he’s adamant about you getting a job, especially if extra cash is needed then you may have no choice.

Are you in the wrong for what? Number one you can go to a pain center and have injections in your back and it helps tremendously. The reason I know is because I do it quite often I have the same issue except I have two bulging discs. Once you get that taken care of then you should be able to work somewhere
