If your dog kills another dog and you covered up for it, can you be in trouble?

If this happens, can you be in trouble:

- You're the owner of a Mastiff and had issues with it acting aggressive with cats and a few dogs... not people though. It's good with people but not animals.

- Your dog killed someone's else dog. You were still drowsy after partying all night long with friends (recovering from a hangover) when it happened.

- You find the mess and cleaned up the dog, covered it up. The owner of the other smaller dog think it left and went missing. Only you and your dog know what happened.

- That already happened several months ago and you actually feel bad. You've worked on having it trained, fixing the animal aggressive problem. You're more responsible now.

But can you really get in trouble for covering up the death of someone else's dog?

You covered up for your dog because you didn't want to get fined nor in trouble, you didn't want the chance of your dog getting taken away either and you already feel bad.
