Sure because last month my boyfriend texted me and told me that he'd rather just have me as his best friend than his girlfriend because before he told me he liked me we were best friends from 6th grade to 12th grade
I've usually been friends with my Exes; two of them for more than 20 years.

You're not friends. You'll never be friends. You'll be in love 'til it kills you both. You'll fight, and you'll shag, and you'll hate each other until it makes you quiver, but you'll never be friends. Love isn't brains, children, it's blood -- blood screaming inside you to work its will. I may be love's bitch, but at least I'm man enough to admit it.

Absolutely not. I tried being friends with my ex who cheated on me. It hurt because all she could ever talk about was him and how perfect he was.
It might be. I never have done this but now that I am older I can see how it might be okay.
Once you’ve dated that’s extremely difficult but if you’ve always been friends from the beginning then that’s different
Yeah, I still talk to my ex , she doesn’t give me a hard time anymore, it’s usually about our kids but other topics come up

Well, we exchange Christmas cards with two ex-GFs of mine.
So, yes.
Yeah sometimes, depends on why you broke up though.
Yes of course, especially if you have children together.
Agreed!
Easily. If you get along but the romance just does not click, why not keep the friendship?

Nope cause how can you move forward if you hold on to the past and how is that fair to the new person in your life
Depending on how much time has passed and how bad the breakup was maybe
I think it's possible, but it takes two real deal mentally healthy and down to earth people who didn't break up on bad terms to make it happen.
I'm still friends with most of my exes... And they all live in Texas so I hang my hat in... Oklahoma...
Still, though, I'm friends with all but 2 of my exes... Some are distant, some are people I talk to daily, some are still FWBs
Depends on the circumstances of the break up
Yeah, I think it's possible, because not all breakups happen on bad terms.
It” don’t know about other cases, but it’s not possible to be friends with my ex.
It could be possible. I'm not friends with any of my exes though.
Yes, not every breakup has to be nasty.
@Ms_Facesitter right, it doesn’t have to be
