Not just gifts but also gifts and family interactions and such. Mine's been plentiful with gifts and laughs but more and more laughs feel forced and there's not much real to anything. People just slaving away in the kitchen for 3hrs of party time. Everyone's exhausted and barely able. I don't know like I want to inspire new structure to it all. Try and bring back some magic but there's politics and all the everyday complaints hindering what otherwise could be wonderful... In my mind. Even just throwing paint at a giant canvas that gets hung in the living room or something. I want to remind these old blokes what life is. Any ideas are very welcome.
Christmas 2007. My entire family exchanged gifts at my great grandmothers house. She had her huge Christmas tree sitting front of the fireplace in the family room and and other Christmas tree in the formal living room. Both had presents under them. Life was so good. All if my family was in good health. We all had money and no worries. Now life is so much different.

I used used to go to my cousins house every single year for Christmas I felt really great about the whole entire thing year after year and it finally ended one day so sad at least I got to enjoy it as a kid and into my 30s

Being around family should be enough, especially when it's a loving family.
Our family reunion in 2017 was pretty fun. And the one in 2019 was nice as well. (We haven't had one since then due to the pandemic.)
