What kind of people are spreading horror stories about having a baby and are they scaring women out of giving birth because they hate babies?

I have read here on this website so many times about someone telling them horror stories about giving birth to a baby. Who are these people spreading rumors about how awful it is to give birth?
Back in the 70's when I gave birth, having a baby naturally, without any medication, was the in thing. So, I gave birth the natural way without any problems.
These are just different times. Do women still believe in giving birth naturally?

Some women have a really rough time. They are influenced by their personal experience, which isn't every women's experience.

Men who spread such stories have no idea what they are talking about.

@Lliam One thing is different now is the internet. They are telling women all their horror experiences. But we all know there are people evil enough to sell these horror stories when they are making them to scare women. Kind of like fake news.
I realize that there are some women that have a very hard time with their pregnancy or giving birth. For these women, my heart goes out to them.
I wish we could apply "Trust but verify". They need to find out who is telling these rumors and not believe everything they read on the internet.

Most women have birth trauma now a days due to hospitals interventions so I don't blame anyone for not wanting to have babies out of fear
