A family member has been jokingly calling me slutty/shameless because I've been wearing more and more revealing clothes (my family is religious/conservative, I'm not).
Today I told her maybe you're a little uptight (religiously)? And for whatever reason she got offended and my mom asked me to stop.
She's literally called me a sinner as a joke and I've taken it lightly. Why is it such a big deal when I clapped back? Not even a clap back but maybe a reality check?

More context: the clothes I'm talking about is a dress right below the knee, my knee isn't even showing.

They should've just informed your young mind that dressing provocatively will set you up for failure, because no one will respect you or take you seriously. Except guys who pretend to so they can get in your pants.
But calling you slutty and shameless was out of line and they deserved a lot more than what you gave them
I think my post wasn't clear in the point that the "revealing clothes" is literally just a dress right below the knee. That's why I think she's being too much!
It's not the same as showing cleavage or thighs for example. But yeah, I get your point.
