Have you adopted a pet? If so, what is his/her name?

We had rabbits when I was of 9 years. One male and one female. Me and my sister named them Blunie and Pinky. But they gave birth to endless number of kids! We couldn't name them all. We had so many bunnies that we even got requests from the nearby animal reserve. But anyways, we gave all the small bunnies to our friends and family and Pinky and Blunie died due to old age.

Later, my cousins gifted me a red-finned betta fish on my 14th birthday. I just named him 'Betta' because it somehow suited him too. But there was a blast of electricity cable near my home which created extremely loud sound and stunned Betta really bad. So he also died after few days of that incident because he didn't ate anything due to shock. He was an intelligent fish who would come near my nose whenever I brought my face near his bowl. And sometimes he would sleep like dead (he very well knew what he was doing!) which scared the hell out of me.

We have planned to adopt a pup after my sophomore year (10th grade) is over. We have decided that it'll be a Shih Tzu but one of my cousin's friend has many labrador pups, he offered us that he'll give one to us when his labrador gives birth to another batch. I have already thought his/her name, it's 'Leo'. No matter whatever breed or gender it is.

My last pet was a dog named, Murphy. She died about 15 years ago. At the moment, there's at least one bunny in the front yard that seems to have adopted ME!! It shows up every afternoon and just sits in the front yard waiting for me to come out and feed it a cookie or a slice of bread! This afternoon, there were 3 of them and one was ON the front porch eating the bun I gave them! Moments later, the deer train went through the back yard! There's about 8 or 9 of them. They come wandering through every few days or so looking for something to eat so, if I have any apples, I'll toss them some.
I'd LOVE to have a dog now but, where I am, now, there just isn't any room for one!! Besides, I'd be afraid it'd get deer ticks!

I know right! They group troop of kittens sent one of their guy to check on a new human who came in their territory and after receiving approval they all ran towards him, they literally claimed him!

I've always adopted my dogs from animal shelters , I like the idea that the animal has been saved , rather than needless reproduction that pushes up unwanted dog numbers.

For the most part its worked really well , generally in the shelters the dogs already have a name , although not always..

There was Champ / Sevvie / Tammy / Pebbles / Charlie ( all dogs )

And Velvet ( Black Velvet ) - Burmese cat , who lived to be 23 years.

Yeah we'll also adopt a Shih Tzu from animal shelter or adopt a Labrador from the acquaintance.
I love the name 'Pebbles' and 'Velvet'.

Pebbles was a dashound , beautiful dog , I still get sad when I think of her death..
I used to walk her 400 metres , then she would just STOP , so I would put her in the backpack with her head on my shoulder , small legs , very lazy when it come to distance , I used to say..

" If you dont walk Pebbs , your belly will hit the ground one day " , but she was not fat..

Yes , long time ago , but still sad , she snuck out a tiny hole , and used to love sniffing the road , I was late this day and found her body , she was still warm , but had been hit by a car. Should have left her inside , but she loved the days outside , but no one else home and probably got bored , very sad :(

Many over the years, including the cat that I have now. She turns 8 in October.

But perhaps the most storied are the rabbit we had, named Winston, and the kitten at the same time, Churchill (Churchill's picture is below). About a year later, Churchill was joined by two small cats named Harry and William.

We also had rabbits, we didn't named them, and they bred like rabbits, they was problematic, the male rapist rabbit had also bite me, my mother got rid of them, I am not sure what happen to them. We also had a female cat, her name was kitty, nothing unusual, she was better than the rabbits and she was sterile, she died because of old age and it was sad, I don't have any pets after her, having pets is not easy.

He was quite clearly a violent rapist, it didn't looks like the female rabbit liked him, of course animals are involved in that, google 'nature is not nice' trope. What you mean by how kitty survived? her being sterile don't means that she can't survive, but she didn't had offspring.

We had two white rats (couple) when I was 10 they both were very cute their red eyes used to blink in dark room. Everytime when we wanted to see them we worked hard to search them they never seen at the place we left them one day one of them was died because of door opening so another was very sad we get it back to whom we bring them.

I was a great master to her. She lived 15 years I bought her on St. Patrick’s Day march 17. She passed away on St. Patrick’s Day March 17 15 years later. Great Dog super fast dog half golden retriever, half labrador. Good swimmer. Very friendly, intelligent dog.
