I live abroad with my husband. A few weeks ago I fell off the stairs and injured my back. I only told my parents when I recovered as I didn't feel the need to worry them. My dad got pissed off because I didn't tell him. Is not like telling him that I was injured was going to cure me and is not like they can come here anytime. I don't feel the need to tell them every detail or every time I feel ill or get injured. If I knew this was going to be his reaction I wouldn't have said anything.
You did right. Your dad is upset on you just because he loves you more. It's absolutely ok. People get upset only with their loved one. This is also one from of love.
Give him some space. After some time talk to him and tell him you understand his worry for you. He will be ok.

On your fathers mind he is probably thinking your husband did it.
Your father will always want to protect you. When you are injured a good father will always feel somewhat responsible (even if on another country) because it is a father's responsibility to protect his family.
Just be glad you have a father who cares about you.
It means he’s worried about you all the time and the fact that you got hurt and he didn’t know is making him worry so hard he’s practically freaking out.
It just means he cares.

Our kids will never stop being our babies. It’s hard to let go, ever.
I think it s very normal for them to be worried and have the need to know what s going on with you, every once in a while, considering the fact that they are your parents.
