Did your parents fight a lot growing up?

I don't know why it popped into my head today, but my parents were always screaming at each other, my mom was definitely very verbally abusive to my dad. My dad kind of took it like a little bitch in retrospect. But they always fought, I have brothers and sisters, I have no idea how, cuz when would they have had sex? Anyway, was my childhood fucked up or was this all of us?

Yes!

I was happier when I was being alone at home. No one yells at the other at 90 decibels with insults and stringing me along their drama and making me feel like a huge burden. A day without a fight for them was like a day without food.

My dad was an alcoholic with PTSD so they definitely fought, lol. Even moved out for a couple of months. Now here they are still married for 40+ years.

I didn’t get involved in their relationship as I was a child, so I wouldn’t know. Just know they were able to work things out.

No my parents never fought in front of us kids. They had disagreements but never yelled and screamed in front of us.
