Is my mom's fear logical?

Next week, I'm going on a trip and will be scuba diving for the first time ever. I've joined the group for beginners and two of my friends are coming too.

3 days ago, my mother woke up screaming and is telling me not to go. In her dream, she saw I was getting dragged by the waters and other crying to get me out but couldn't. In her dream, something bad happened to me and I was gone.

My mom hasn't been herself ever since. She's very nervous. I've tried reassuring her these points: It was just a bad dream, I'll always be in contact, it's a trusted group with all equipments and signals (my friends know them very well), etc.

I'm an only child (she had me at age 39, she had fertile issues and would miscarry every time) but is her fear logical? She's very nervous. I've never seen her like that ever before.

She doesn't want me to go because I've never scuba dive before, how I don't know what I'm doing, etc. I don't know how to get her to calm down.
