im the type of person who likes it cheap & simple

I only have 2 pairs of plain looking clothes & 1 pair of shoes & I've literally worn for the same 2 pairs of clothing for 5 years straight

I've saved a lot of dough from not over spending

is it mostly to impress others?
I don't care what anyone does or says but I've been bombarded with boxes of clothes from my female relatives

it's mostly a female obsession to have that many t shirts & pants

ow I gotta sell them all in bunches to at least make a profit

I'm not really trying to Impress anyone, I do it mostly for my happiness. If I see something I like, I buy it. It Just makes me feel good. I feel confident and fulfilled by buying shoes and clothes, and get really excited to wear those particular Items when I go out somewhere. The stuff we like is usually pretty pricey but we Just want it so badly that when we go home we can't stop thinking about it, and then we end up going back to the same shop to buy it no matter how much it costs.

And pretty much because some people are materialistic and like flaunting their new clothes and shoes. It's just all for confidence and because we like the Item. There's nothing much to deeply over analyse here, we see something we like, can't resist to Ignore it or leave it behind and then we Just buy it...

I love fashion. It's part of my self-expression, but I also don't like being broke, so I thrift a lot of my clothes. My closet is insane, but I've spent probably no more than what a lot of people spend on just 4 or 5 items. It's not really about impressing others either. I wear my favorite dress b/c it makes ME feel good and puts extra pep into my step because it's my favorite color. Also it's my own money which I've worked for so you can totally spend yours on what you like, and I am going to totally spend mine how I like.

Partly agree, although sometimes it's worth paying for quality. Cheap clothes (unless vintage) tend to be of the sweatshop variety. The same could be said for many expensive branded clothes, but occasionally, something is really well-made and thus costs more.

I spend a lot on clothes mainly because I have the means to. I prefer natural fibers and like my clothing to be linen, cotton, cashmere, or silk. I don’t like polyester/rayon/nylon/acrylic as I don’t find them as comfortable. I also think that you can tell quality just by looking at the clothing. A forever21 shirt will never look as nice as a silk blouse from LoveShackFancy. I also pay a lot of attention to aesthetics and some people might not care as much. I also fully recognize that some people don’t have the money to spend 200+ on a shirt and that’s okay. To each their own.

When people buy stuff it usually isn't to impress others.
I like clothes, I find it to be a great way of expressing yourself.
Don't have abnormal amounts of them, just the usual, but I definitely don't buy them for other people. I wear them if they make me feel good.

Society forgets males and puts it onto women the most.
You have to dress nice. You have to look nice. You can wear the same thing two days in a row.
Your appearance is your value.

So that's why some people have a lot of clothes.
Tho for some it's their job, they're rich, they're bad with money and choosing clothes they actually like or they have a lot of older siblings.

There can be a lot of reasons like style, comfort, colours... not to mention the emotional connection when you associate certain clothes with events and memories

Personally I don't think 2 pair of clothes is enough for day to day living, I'm assuming that's 2 shirts and 2 pants which means you'll wear a set today and wash them tomorrow when wearing the other set and you're screwed if you need to dress up for any reason

I want to buy usually natural fibres that don't upset my skin. I tend to get allergies due to my hypersensitivity and asthma.

Also I like to dress to the weather as I walk long distances. I am my own mode of transport. Its like how you would maintain a house or car.

I'm not one of those girls. I own two pairs of sneakers, two pairs of shoes and two pairs of boots. With the sneaker and boots one pair each for work and one for outside of work, shoes every woman must have a black pair of shoes. Then I own a few T-shirts, Sweatshirts, blouses, dresses, skirts, five pairs of pants, four pairs of jeans, three pairs of shorts, and two pairs of sweatpants. I have more than you but much less than my husband. I don’t like buying clothes or shoes or anything like that. I only do out of sheer necessity. I workout a lot and am overall a very active person. I have mostly sportswear, some classic formal wear (I attend quite a bit of formal events) and regular clothes.

I like cheap clothes from places Wal-Mart. I can't justify spending a huge amount of money on clothes. I might have some nice clothes from nicer stores for special occasions, but not for everyday.

I have bought a lot of cheap clothes in my life and I have lately begun to buy more expensive cloth of better quality. They just feels better looks better and often last longer. So in the end I don't spend much more for that extra comfort.

My Brother got both a designer leather jacket that costs 750 dollars new for 20 bucks and a designer 1000 dollar trenchcoat for 30.
Both were in perfect condition and barely worn.
Paying attention at a thrift store can frequently make a person a lucky man or woman

because when you're doing construction, it's not as durable as advertised so you go through them a lot quicker. I'd rather spend 200$ on a good pair of boots then buy like 5 pairs of 40$ boots over time

Because clothes and shoes are an investment. They need to be able to last a long time or else you just end up spending even more money to replace them. In my experience good quality and cheap don't really go together. Sales are great, though.

Shoes - I have boots, snickers, dress shoes, work shoes.

Cloths - I have like 5-8 outfits for casual wear. 3-5 work uniforms. 2 dress outfits and 1 suit.
