I'd say give your skin a rest from slathering on full makeup. Nothing wrong with a little mascara, lipstick and eyeliner for drama. But full-face puts a lot of wear and tear on your pores.
Make sure you clean your face scrupulously as soon as your workday ends, and do some mask work once a week. I'd also suggest you begin liking your face au naturelle. If you absolutely have to have on some makeup to feel normal. JUST LIPSTICK.
Lipstick dresses up your face like you wouldn't believe. If you STILL feel naked, add eyeliner. This gives your skin a rest. Not sure what business you work in where you feel you need makeup every day. Maybe this is the source of your discomfort with not wearing it.
But relax about this and try for the LEAST number of items: eye shadow, lipstick, eyeliner, or mascara, eyeliner, lipstick, or lipstick, blush, eyeliner... Leave off liquid makeup or powder all over your face. Stop worrying about under-eye shadows. Full face, unless you're in the fashion industry, and seeing clients also in said industry, seems over the top.
42 ReplyExactly! Great answer. All she needs is a bit of lipstick and mascara.. and sunscreen of course!

@PumpkinSpiceLatte4 Maybe her mom was a full makeup person. I've met a few. I say leave the drama for special occasions. Also, it's so hard to keep up over 8 hours. Exhausting. I'm more concerned about the statement, "I don't like the way I look without makeup." You've got to accept your looks and like them. If they're that bad, maybe you need a plastic surgery consult. If they're NOT that bad. Do more with less!!

I think it is okay to wear makeup as much or as little as you wish but either way it is important that you are comfortable with how you look without it. If you do want to build that confidence you can start by using less makeup than usual, or switching out to less pigmented and more sheer formulas and work your way there to eventually become comfortable with little to no makeup at all.
I am comfortable with my bare face and don't wear makeup on a regular basis, but I do wear makeup when I want to and think it looks great. Think about it, makeup is expensive. What's the point in spending all this money on these products if they don't make me look better than I already do, it's pointless if it makes me look the same right? I know I already look good the way I am, and I enjoy makeup too! It's a happy middle ground between body positivity and body neutrality for me, you may find it helpful to explore those concepts and see how you relate to them.

in France women put make up on all day everyday. That or they don’t wear make up at all. My last girlfriend would only take her make up off at the very last minute going to bed. Having said that make up is really light here if you start slathering on loads of make up you stick out like a sore thumb. Also we notice because women have a really natural look over here. You can spot a British girl from a mile away here 😂 side note if you use make up everyday you should be using one of those oil makeup remover at night, not sure of the name in English but they’re the best at removing everything. You obviously have to then remove the oil once your finished and before you moisturize because well oil✌️

I have mixed feelings about this one. I like makeup. I used to wear it a lot. But there is an argument that it's not healthy to hide your face from the world. Makeup is just a kind of mask. If you are going out of your way to avoid ever letting people see your face without it, then you could be perpetuating your own insecurities.
It's your choice but consider letting people see your face for a day. I don't think it will be so bad for you and it might boost your confidence in your natural appearance.

00 ReplyYou've gotta, gotta do what makes you feel good. If you like how you feel wearing makeup, then wear makeup. Why wouldn't you?
The only reason I can think of, is if you're not in the mood to put it on. In that case, don't. The people that like you for who you are, will see a different veneer but will surely recognize the same heart.
Don't overthink wearing makeup. Sure, they've only seen you made up. Probably they've only seen you fully dressed as well. It isn't like you're showing up at work naked...
20 Reply394 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. It's A LOT of work to keep a full regimen of beauty care every day. I stopped at an early age wearing makeup except for highlights like lipstick and shadow and polish. On special occasions I'll do more, but it's definite not an every day thing unless you want to make it a lifestyle.

Makeup is designed very simply
The more you use, the more you need. Why? Because due to the abuse of your skin / clogging of pores / screwing up of natural body oils... the FASTER you age. The unnatural ingredients, trapping of pollutants onto your skin, etc. works more and more against the natural aging process until you'll be 50 and looking like you're 80.
00 Reply I think it's best to do what makes you feel best, but there has to be a better way for you to live in my opinion. You should look for other ways, and I believe your skin will thank you. Also, if you want a high quality long term romantic partner, you have to show yourself without makeup.
I had an answer years ago on Gag about makeup and how guys feel about it and many girls found it helpful. Give me a minute and I will link it here
11 ReplyI don’t because I have sensitive skin (foundation gives me acne), I’m lazy and I like how I look without it. That said I don’t see an issue if someone else wants to wear it everyday if it makes you feel good. Your future partner will see you without it and find you beautiful, but otherwise makeup is also a great way to express yourself
00 ReplyDo what makes you happy and feel confident. It doesn't matter what any other person thinks is right or wrong. They don't know how you feel, what you've been through etc.. so if wearing makeup makes you happy, confident and enjoy going out then so be it. Live your life.

I think it's fine to wear makeup everyday. To each their own. I'm just one of those women that barley wears make up. Most days I just wear lip gloss and that's it. I go. Through phases where I wear make up and enjoy it but mostly it's just the natural me. I don
00 Reply 506 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. It depends :
- are your cosmetics quality products?
- do you wipe it off before sleeping?
- how often do you wash your face?
- are the hours you're on your own with your bare face considerably more than the ones you're out with makeup on?
- do you do skincare?12 Reply- 1 y
Well I can only speak from my personal experience and I personally don't ever wear make-up unless I am going out on a date. And honestly I can't wait to remove my make up and go without when I do wear it. So maybe you should try not wearing make up for a day and see how you feel. If you don't try you'll never know. And this isn't to say that the fact that you wear make up is a bad thing but being without make up is good too.

No, thats unhealthy for you both physically and mentally. If you wear makeup all the time you won't like yourself without. Give yourself a break and detox from makeup for a couple of days. The more you see yourself without makeup the more you will like yourself without, it's psychology

As long as you take care of your skin before and after you put makeup on. I used to feel the same way. I wore makeup 5 days a week. One day i was too tired to do it and decided not to care for once. I barely went back to wearing makeup. It just feels so good to let your skin breathe. I still use makeup but not as much at all.
00 Reply It's fine! I'm the same way. Every time I go out I always have it on. However, when I'm at home I then unwind and take everything off. Don't let anyone change how it makes you feel. You're your own person; do what makes you happy.

I mean sure.
I can't, mainly because I break out too easily. Also have no clue how to put it on right.
Your face, your choice. Don't let anyone make you change your mind.
00 Reply I’ve heard that it’s not. I’m sorry you’re not comfortable going without makeup. I know this may sound cliche, but you’re beautiful as you are! I hope you come to know that one day. 😊

10 ReplyDo what makes you feel good. Women on social media have perpetuated the perfect body image, so they're responsible for diluting it.

No it's not ok. You'll get used to it and then will hate your natural look, which will cause a lot of anxiety.

You can wear makeup everyday given that you remove your makeup, wash your face and moisturize every day.

I hear it is not really good for your skin to do that.

As long as you're happy and healthy and it's not a detriment, go for it.
00 Reply Typical lack of confidence, and victimism by the publicity. You're not the only one. Do what you want, but try to love yourself also without it.
