TL;DR If the rest is too long, all I'm gonna say is short shorts look AWFUL on men in my opinion, and they lack pockets as well, so my boyfriend can no longer carry all my stuff in his pockets, and I'm FORCED to carry a purse again now... wtf do I do?
So the above photo shows how my boyfriend's fashion sense when it comes to shorts has changed... he used to wear baggy, long ones with lots of pockets like the brownish/tannish ones on the left, but more recently has begun to wear very short ones that are rather tight and have very small pockets, like the grayish/blueish ones on the right.
Besides the longer ones looking MUCH more attractive in my opinion, it also allowed him to carry lots of stuff in his pockets, aka, both his stuff AND my stuff... but with the new short shorts he can't do that anymore, so I'm FORCED to bring either a purse or backpack with me everywhere I go...
But also, the short ones just look BAD in my opinion. Plain and simple. They look way too feminine and douchey and preppy. Like the shorts frat guys would wear. The ones who probably have never done manual labor in their life, and would probably call their rich lawyer dad if you messed with them.
The long ones however... they look MANLY. They look like a guy who actually goes hiking and does shit. A man who can put lots of tools and cool stuff in his pockets. And snacks too, of course! Who can carry both his wife's stuff and his kid's stuff, too!
Basically, the short ones look boyish, the long ones look MANLY.
But my boyfriend really likes the short ones, and has grown to dislike the long ones... so what the fuck am I supposed to do now?
