Because it is mouth candy and sounds nice to say they prefer natural. That's why you should stop asking men what they like, when you ask someone what they're attracted to, often times people will give you a PC answer that doesn't jibe with reality. You and I both know what guys really find hot so just go with that. Guys like naturally beautiful girls of course, but who says you can't be naturally beautiful AND flashy? I've seen it happen.
Also these girls are usually very confident which can add to their sex appeal. Think about how great you feel after a day of shopping, getting your hair and nails done and looking cute in a new outfit? You feel very sexy and look good too right? Well these girls look like that EVERY DAY so of course they are going to attract men. Being feminine and appealing is going to appeal to a man's basic instincts.
Maybe some guys lie and say they don't prefer those kind of women because they feel they can't attract them. Typically flashier girls are perceived to have higher standards and go for a certain type of guy, so if a guy doesn't fit that mold, it's easy for him to pretend that he's not interested in that type of girl anyway.
Men have different perceptions of what looks natural and what doesn't - they have no idea about make-up,etc. and how all that alters the appearance. When they say they like 'natural' looking women, they mean the one with the average amount of make-up, so basically what most girls wear: foundation, concealer, powder, blush, mascara, lip gloss, eye liner - these things can make a drastic difference in what a woman looks like - e.g. eyes will look about 30% bigger, the skin will be smoother and even, all that jazz. But you see, men, well boys think that this is what a 'natural' girl looks like - when in reality, they are not technically natural. The make up will be what they call a 'natural look'. Makes sense? Same with hair extensions, you can get very real looking ones, and as most girls don't have tick, waist lenght glossy hair [shampoo advert hair], they obviously chose to wear them. And I think its pretty obvious that men will look if a woman has skimpy clothing - don't you stare at half naked dudes? Of course you do.
Guys are hypocrites when it comes to that.
If a girl doesn't wear make-up,she is to not care about herself,not care about her appearance or let herself go.
But when she does wear make-up,extensions etc,she's fake.
Last time I checked,Maxim wasn't glamourizing the "natural" look.Media caters to the majority?Hmmm
Imagine you're sitting at a sidewalk cafe, and a clown juggling fiery torches casually walks by. Your attention is completely cut off, and for a minute that's all you can think about. Who was this clown? Why was he juggling fiery torches? If you have friends, you sit and talk about it for a few minutes. Then after a while you forget about it, but every once in a while you remember and think about it for a bit again.
That's what it's like to see some super slutty plastic barbie girl. As a guy, it takes over your attention for a little bit, and then it passes. We still want the natural women, but that doesn't mean we don't get distracted from time to time.
easy, men like shinny things and we like naked women the thing we don't like is women using these biological things on us so that's why we like natural down to earth females well dumb dudes will like these girls but there to dumb to differentiate what's going on all they know is they like

I'm sorry but no guy is going to tell me I can't wear make-up. As long as you know what you look like underneath all the powder, it really shouldn't matter. Plus I think a lot of people over-exaggerate the whole make-up thing anyway. I can see if you have the jershey shore look going on, but a little eyeshadow isn't going to mask what you really look like. The only thing I can't stand is when people try to put on a front when asked if they wear extensions or something of that nature. If you are going to wear something fake just own up to it and continue to walk the earth.
Guys notice the flashy ones because they stand out and its hard not to look casue yea they do look hot but if you took off all that flashy makeup and clothes they probably don't have a lot of natural beauty. In the end I personally would rather have a women who has natural beauty and doesn't have to put a ton of makeup on to look hot.
There is a difference in what people preceive to be hot and what they actually want for themeslves. The glitzy makeup girl is great to look at like a picture, but what he really wants his arms around is the normal natural girl. You know the warm, cuddly, cute ones.
attention, the ones who do this, are usually looking for attention and turn down the guys she doesn't like. that's why you see lots of guys with the natural looking ones, and the hot guys wind up with these girls, the guys are usually douches though and she leaves him for the less good looking nice guy
Its like if you saw a really muscly guy walk round in a thong everywhere you would look but I doubt you would what a relationship with that.

Its all about advertising...its how you present yourself, if you make an effort to sell yourself people will notice...
I have never done it and have never noticed any of my friends do that. Maybe they think they will be an easy lay. I'm not really sure.
