It's a double edged sword for both. On one hand, it helps you get noticed and you have more chances to present yourself to the world I guess. On the other hand it breeds a lot of contempt and jealousy. I think the only ones who assume attractive people have negative characteristics because they're good looking have low self esteem.
neither has it worse. there's nothing bad about being good looking. the world is your oyster. maybe women though because they'll encounter more guys who just want sex from them than something long term. but if the girl just wants sex, it's not a bad thing.
Attractive women get things handed to them a lot of the time. Attractive men sometimes end up being jerks because they know they look good.
Attractive men are only jerks because they know it works. If being a nice guy worked, hot guys wouldn't be jerks. It really has nothing to do with their bone structure. There are more than plenty of jerks who are ugly.

Being good looking has benefits because you get chosen but since that's the first thing both genders look for when meeting first time, it can make you disregard the 2. Or 3.
well I think that attractive people in general aren't as excepted because of jealousy which makes them hostile and less approachable. if you are good looking people assume that you are fake, cocky, diva...etc
Women have it worse because there's less men to choose from the good ones are always taken
But ya its true I try to svoid talking to guys I'm very attracted to and less ones are safe because I'm not nervous/awkward around them .but being too outgoing is a turn off
I actually don't understand the concept of personality. you say attractive women don't have personality, but it's not their fault since they didn't have a choice to be treated like princesses...
Everyone has a personality. But its through trials and tribulations that builds character. Example of people only appreciate things they have to work for, as one example.
People who are ugly often are more likely to have good personalities because they HAD to develop it in order to build friendships, lovers, etc. PLUS there's a certain treatment towards the good looking for both men and women that tends to hinder that personality development.
while everyone has a personality , everyone doesn't have a good one. Most attractive women are going to develop a negative view of men, which in turn is going to develop a negative reaction towards most men who talk to her. Also, women are going to be jealous and act negatively toward the more attractive female and thus she has a negative view towards other women as well... and thus you have a bad personality.
attractive men, it's way easier for attractive women to get hired, to get a job than it is for an attractive man, mainly for entry-level jobs.
well I have to admit I might hire an attractive woman. But then again, there's the argument that says if a buisness is all men and no women, it would be more efficient. Guys would get stuff done, if there's a hot woman nearby, suddenly work becomes play and those men aren't thinking about work, rather they are thinking about banging her.
yeah, because the managers, owners, or human resources department, will want to hire attractive women because they see them as "Bait" who can attract and lure customers inside. Even if the woman has a horrible resume, inexperienced, never volunteers

It goes both ways. Attractive Women get approached by jerks, drunks players and such and attractive men get rejected by said women. so I say 50/50
this is true but try to word things differently because people as usual don't want to grasp the reality of really happens in the world especailly women(gulp) . for the most part you are right.

i wouldn't say that's an objective reason, because from a male perspective, being subjected to crude and vulgar comments and treated as a sex object is something that men would find appealing, at least most men would.

The reason why most men do that is because its their line of thinking that says "well hey, I would like that done to me, so then she should like it too!" they don't do it saying "you know what? I'm going to be an a-hole right now."
Well, then, this is my subjective answer to your question. I'm sorry if you're not content with it, but this is my opinion based on my female experience- obviously I do not know what it is like to be a guy, and it would be impossible for me to be objective.

With your statement "It's harder for attractive women in the long run because looks fade" , wouldn't the woman just maintain her looks (diet and exercise) so she looks better with age (be a hot cougar, Milf?) and still have those same opportunities, that a hot girl gets, go in the long run till she reaches 60, 70?
No. Because no matter how hot the woman is, she's always hotter when she's younger.
Most men are evolutionarily programmed to seek out youth characteristics, because simply if they were designed to be attracted to 90 year old women, the species would be in trouble.
Men they have women flock to them and follow them etc. Girls so what you get hit on a little bit and if you reject them they usually give up

i get approached daily, but that's like once or twice. now comparable that to 20 times a day on average for really hot women.
