There is a girl I've been talking to that I do like. Recently I've been attempting to be a little more flirty (I'm bad at this) and forthcoming about things to show that I'm interested.
Today while we were talking she was talking about work. One of the things I've noticed is that she is vs hard worker. I decided to compliment her by saying "Seriously though, you're awesome. You like to have fun but, you're a hard worker as well. That's one if the things that I admire about you. " that netted me the 😅 emoji as a response.
I apologized if it was awkward or too direct. That's when she said it was, that she doesn't like compliments like that. She did say she didn't mind for her creations to be complimented, but for herself it makes her feel awkward. I've given her a few other compliments in the past but she never responded negatively to them, they were also small ones though.
I guess at this point I'm trying to figure out what things I can do to show interest that doesn't involve complementing her directly. She understood that it wasn't my intention to make her feel awkward ("I know 😊 lol").
We are finally meeting face to face for the first time next week on Saturday. We've met online and we've been talking for a few months but, we haven't been able to meet in person since the border has been been closed.
