What makes you think a person is flirting with you?

I'm trying to figure out why people think I'm flirting when I'm not. I'm a very shy and reserved person. When I do talk to people, I smile a lot so they feel comfortable and like I'm receptive to whatever they want to say. I treat everyone the same whether they're a guy or a girl. I treat them the way I like to be treated. And I do laugh a lot. I'm a very highly, bubbly person when I open up. If I stopped doing those things, I'd probably come across as cold and unfriendly.

Ohhhh. I definitely laugh at everything. If it's not funny, I laugh because I feel awkward and I'm always trying to validate people. I don't touch anyone, though.

I can relate with your personality, though I too don't know the exact answer. My best approach so far was to not make a guy feel special by my behaviour (not very successful probably tho)
I'd say avoid late night convos, try to hang out in groups so your usual behaviour can be seen, if you think your guy friend likes you instead of ignoring him (it's hard and feels weird) I'd say drop not obvious hints about you being the same with everyone for example if you do him a favour makes sure he somehow sees that you would do that for your other guy friends.
These are all expriemental tho lol since I have the same issue and try to find a way not not lead my guy friend who likes me on.
