Smiling, giving someone your undivided attention, and calling someone a pet name are all things that people do when they aren't necessarily flirting.

Blushing is just a biological response, it's nothing anyone can help doing.

Prolonged eye contact... I mean, that usually means something. but it doesn't have to mean sexual attraction.

Are you sure he's flirting? Or is it possible that he's being friendly and you're seeing it as flirtation because you're attracted to him?
