If a guy says he likes your hair?

I got a short haircut yesterday and when a guy I'm getting to know saw me today we said hi and he asked me how my week was. Then straight after before I could answer his question he said 'I like your hair, it looks nice'. I thought that was really nice because I had mixed feelings about my hairstyle, and he's never complimented me on anything before, even when I've had other hairstyles. Also, I just wanted to add, when we hugged goodbye he called me by my name, which he's never done before when we've seen each other but I'm not sure if that means anything. I know that if a guy says he likes your hair, it obviously means he likes your hair. But could it mean anything since that's the first time he's complimented me on something and could it suggest that he finds me attractive? Or is it merely a compliment?

A guy told me like the same thing, he said I have very nice hair, he's a cashier in a corner store, after that I been really curious if he's flirting with me or was it just a compliment, cause I catch him looking at me at times when I leave the store, but when I'm paying he seems like nothing:-/

I once had a 'change of mood' when a girl I knew changed her haircut dramatically, and I started to like her much more than I did before... if you get my drift ; )

If a guy says he likes your hair (especially after a haircut) than he likes your hAir. If he says he likes your purse/shoes/headband...he's gay...and he likes your purse/shoes/headband

Oh yes it worked like a charm. Compliments can only go wrong if you can't initiate it correctly.
