Would a guy "accidentally" touch me to show he's interested?

A coworker (who works on the other side of the store and who has previously ignored me..) brushed my arm three different times during our last shift together. At first I thought it was an accident, but then it kept happening--even when there was plenty of room for us to walk past each other with personal space.

Is this something guys do on purpose? And if it is, why? And how would you like the girl to do/respond? (I basically just froze/ignored it..and kind of looked up at him shocked...idk) because I do kind of like him so

I can tell you my experiences with this kind of situation.

As I remember if I found a woman attractive and thought she'd find me a little interesting I would try and flirt a little like teasing her or something along these lines. Then after some time I would try to by accident break the touch barrier just to see the reaction and if let's say the reaction is not negative. Then I'd try to do it again but make it a little more obvious so that she'd maybe notice. And if the reaction was not very negative or positive. Then I'd maybe know that she might be interested. If they start running away and ditching you then it's usually a sign they're not interested but if they don't then I'd have to make some sort of move. Here's where stuff gets confusing because sometimes women give of interested signal, they flirt and even respond to your touch well. But then sometimes they back of.

So yes if the guy went out of his way to touch you all you've got to do is to play it cool and give him the opportunities to make his moves and not shut him down and make things to difficult for him.

I do it, when I'm into I girl I get touchy and I escalate it towards kissing. I start by just 'accidentally' touching her. After that I start touching her if I ask her something or start talking to her or whatever, for example: "Hey, *laying my hand on her arm shortly* lets go get a drink over there". Also like if we are going to walk trough a door or something I put my hand on her shoulder and give her a gentle push, to make I'm letting her enter first. Then I start to get more intimate, holding hands, stroking her cheek, and if I notice she likes that I eventually kiss her.

Touching is always a good idea if you are trying to seduce someone, it makes you more comfortable around each other, specially if you're working towards kissing. But you have to know how far you can go at certain stages in the seducing process, I mean don't go to fast. Next time he brushes your arm give him a smile. You could also start touching him when you start talking to him, like I explained above... If he's smart he'll get the hints and will ask you out. I wouldn't work towards the kiss like I do if I were you, I think that's the guys job.

I mean, I guess it could be him trying to flirt (or be a creeper). It's not something I do and I can't imagine it being particularly effective, though I guess it's been working alright for him. Anyway, if you like him just talk to him. Flirt. Touch him back a little. Don't waste your time trying to read signs and portents. Get out there and make it happen.

Yes. I would say that it is almost certain that he is hinting the hardest he can possibly do right now, waiting to see if you respond positively. Touch him back and you'll have a new boyfriend in no time.

Breaking the touch barrier is always a good way of testing whether or not someone is interested in you, and is comfortable with your touch.
