Asians tend to have higher metabolism (not all but it's more common) their body doesn't store as much weight and they burn more energy in general. They are fortunate that they can eat all the trash they want without putting on much weight.
I used to be one of them, it was a struggle to put on weight. My old friends who were Asian also had the same problem, they would eat lots and take weight gain shakes and still not put on significant weight.
When I started on antidepressants I gained quite some weight though, so I don't have that luxury anymore. I find it easier to put on weight now and harder to lose it.
There is a genetic component, maybe they eat less in general? Honestly not sure. It does seem like in actual Asian countries most people have healthy diets for their day to day
So many things, metabolism, usual diet, low sugar foods. Even bubble tea doesn't have that much sugar, well, you can pick out how much sugar you'd like but it's never too high.
There is a doctor who wrote a book on the rice diet, apparently rice keeps you skinny cause it contains almost no fat or protein.

Because most Asians don’t drink it that often, they drink bubble tea on occasion.
It doesn't matter what you drink and eat but how much and how often.
