How many days out of the week should a wife/mother make dinner?

I'm curious what kind of answers I'm gonna get from guys and girls.

My co-workers all have husband's who cook dinner most nights. I don't cook every night, maybe 3 or 4 times a week. Some of the meals are fast and simple, pop in the oven meals, some are left over nights and others take a little more time. My husband will bbq about once a week, and it makes me oh so appreciative I gave him a Trager for Christmas, oh so yummy!

My wife did cook 5 nights a week, but until I finish the kitchen counter, it's maybe 3 nights a week now.

It would depend on if you both work or not. Second if you both work it would depend on who gets home from work first.

Then I would say split the cooking.

Why is it her "job"? I work full time and then because I'm the woman it subsequently is my "job" to come up with dinner and make it? Seems like a 1960's way of thinking when that was the only expectation of a woman was ro serve the man and be a mother.

It depends on if she works a job for as many days and hours as the man does or not.

Depends on their schedule. Whatever is most convenient for them.

There's no one set answer. It needs to be what works best for the family.

That's ultimately up to the couple. I knew a husband and wife that would switch off every other day while the other did the dishes, unless they're health was poor that day.

Maybe three times a week then you have leftovers plus you want to go out and eat
