Makeup, lighting, angles, filter, photo editing. That's why. You fell in love with some makeup and pixels. Some people have an eye for seeing what's been enhanced. I guesd you don't. There's pretty much nothing you can do about this other than not meeting girls from Instagram, or understand that with and even without enhancements some people just look different in pictures than in person. The picture on my ID is fugly looks nothing like me.
its all smoke in mirrors online, filters, photoshop, airbrushing, etc. though it is not just woman who do it, you would be surprised how many guys do it as well
they do it for the likes, welcome to the generation that natural perfection isn't necessary, as long as you know how to edit photos, and the world where how many likes you get is everything. yes she edits photos, but you wouldn't have met up with her if she didn't. give her a chance, looks shouldn't be everything
Could be maybe it IS how she looks and she wasn't feeling well but didn't want to cancel on you? I know I can look really nice in pics but if I'm sick or on my period, I don't look like that.
Social media is a display of the perfect person everyone wishes to be. It's the dream. When you date someone IRL, you don't get the well-written dream, you get the reality.
Because social media are used to show our person to others and we want to give the best images of ourselves. But not all girls are like that, smart girls have better to do than posting pics on site.
I think this was established quite sometime ago. Girls normally post their best pictures on ig, with makeup on, best filters, and good lighting.
When you see them in person at non-special events, they probably don't look as appealing.

Your first mistake was thinking that women on instagram look like that in real life. Use some common sense lol. You know that there are filters on instagram and social media is not a representation of real life. Not everyone thinks like you do. I know men do this too which is why I stopped doing online dating.
Lol this is one of my fears!!! We tend to wear makeup and pose nicely in our photos. I’ve always asked the guys I go on a date with whether I’m a catfish because I wanna make sure I don’t do this 😂
Angles, filters, editing apps, good lighting, etc. etc. I'm the selfie MASTER and most of the time I look a thousand times better in a selfie then in real life.

I look better in person than in pictures and it's a proven fact.
Lol proven fact. You did a study using the scientific method
@Quacken Yes XD i did. with my team of research assistants and everything.
I have the same issue, but the other way around. Women always looked better in person than in photos online.
Apparently they think short term - better that you actually arrive on the date and not that you're going to stay for long after.
ah haha lol
make up, photoshop , lighting or simple, a lot of people look better in pic others like me look uglier in pic
Because they get all dolled up to take a selfie and use filters and edit their pictures to look better.

Yeah I'd be careful with that. Always videochat with the person before you meet. Catfishing can be dangerous.
I got catfished by an actual midget once. Thank god it was a double date with my friend and his girl... I needed the way out of that one.
Because photos aren’t real life. Plus filters and everything else. Tons of makeup… etc. makes a person look different
Haha i know lol that's what happend to me when i'll meet a friend girl.. But not all of girls do this ( me ) I'm like my pic all of guys said to me so
I haven't change that much so I use old pictures but if I like the guy I will tell him staright up i have gain weight.
