Girl stopped talking to me after confessing my feelings?

I don't understand why, some insight would be nice.

I fell in love with a coworker,

So I confessed my feelings, and she did not feel the same way.

She said she wanted to stay friends, I said I did too... But she completely stopped talking to me, she doesn't talk to me at work or text/call me anymore... I don't understand why?

One of my ideas: She might have mislead me? If she did she knows she is not getting anymore attention from me and I am no longer of value?

Does she feel weird? Did she actually like me but lie?

She might feel weird around you. This is just my opinion base on my own personality. When people tell me they like me I suddenly don't know how to act around them. I try to do my best not to mislead them but in the process I end up avoiding them. After a while though things will go back to normal.

But since everyone's situation is different, you should take her personality into account. Do you think she leads others on? Have you seen her interact with other guys? Does she treats you the same? If she's a shy person she just probably feels weird about it.

If you really want to know, the best thing to do would be to ask her about it.

Well she is the type of girl that only has guy friends.

The second I told her that I had feelings for her, she apologized right away if she did something to mislead me. Like she had been through this before... "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to mislead you or anything... I'm soooo sorry I really hope we can stay friends"

So there is a good chance that she liked my attention and mislead me. But I will never 100% know, maybe she actually didn't and was shocked that I liked her.

I just don't understand why she is ignoring me after that...

I don't want to ask/talk to her anymore, if she wants to stay friends it's up to her. I tried talking to her a couple times, I don't need her...

I am thinking, If she did only like my attention, and now I know she doesn't like me. My attention is valuable to her anymore?

You've misread her entirely. She's distancing herself so you fully get the message she is not attracted. For your own good. Not to mention, things are awkward for her now knowing your feelings. If she's not sure how to act around you, it's better to not even have to think about how to act around you.

Please dont get too serious about her. You might end up getting hurt badly. Do everything you can to forget her. If you want answers go ask her directly and clear everything asap but in a very 'emotionally distanced' way.

It was too late... Although I am nearly over her, I still get sad thinking about her once in a while...

I fell really hard for her... I felt really close and safe with her... And she kept showing signs of interest, and I was on top of the world... This girl who I like a lot likes me back!

But I started to realize she may be just misleading me, when I saw her flirting and hugging another man outside work... that really broke my heart...

So I tried to get over her, but I couldn't and that's why I told her I had feelings for her... I just had to know...

I know she doesn't like me now, but the problem is she doesn't want to stay friends... I thought I could still have fun and talk to her, and talk about events and stuff that I can't talk to other people about... I guess not, and I still don't understand why...
