Romance disgusts me?

Well I've never liked romance or anything, but I thought I'd outgrow it. I still haven't. The whole idea of romance is disgusting to me, I don't know why. Holding hands? Gross. Kissing? gross. All that other relationship stuff? Gross. I've had one crush before but I think I may just have liked him so I could like someone. I don't ever want to be more than friends with anyone. That "crush" turned out to like me, but we talked and stuff for a while, and he tried to hold my hand and whatever but I hated it, the idea of it all makes me gag. He even tried kissing me and I seriously felt sick and resisted. Why is all this so gross to me? I don't think I ever want any of this.

Honestly same girl. I used to fantasize about being in love or a romantic relationship, but when it comes to the REAL thing, I find myself backing off and wanting nothing to do with it. I can't tell you why it's like this for me, just saying you're not alone in feeling this. I guess a part of me just feels like it's all fake and just an act to attract and keep a mate. I look at relationships in a somewhat scientific way these days rather than 'love' being a thing that exists. But hey, maybe you could find someone one day that would make you want to be romantic with. Maybe you just haven't found that person.

If you aren't attracted to girl either, then I would say you are an asexual, unless you are under the age of 14, then maybe it will come in time.

Nope not attracted to girls. I'm 14 so I'm just thinking maybe it's cause I'm young and just don't like it yet, but I don't know anyone like this so I'm guessing it's not very common?

Yeah that's what I was thinking, late bloomer. And yes I think sex is waaayy worse on the disgusting scale. It's gross and my friends always say stuff about it and I hate it.

Then wait a few years and if you still feel the same way, than you are probably an asexual... There are surprisingly many of them, so you are definitely not alone... And from what I have read then for some it's just in periods of their life.
