She friend zoned me but still stares?

So I had met this girl at school, and I decided to get her snap chat and start texting her. She would stare at me from across the classroom and even said that she wanted to talk to me. So we had been texting for four months and we had gotten along pretty well, I would compliment her and tell her how much I liked her, and she said she felt the same way. Over the course of time I decide to take a large leap and asked if I could call her babe, and if she was comfortable with it, and she said that it was completely fine, over the next couple of months I would ask her if she was still comfortable with it and she said yes. We continued to talk everyday, and then school started and I asked her if she wanted to chill, but she would decline every time. So then one day I asked her how she felt about me cause I was having my doubts and she said that I was a great "friend" I asked her if she ever actually liked me and she said yes. I then asked her what happened and she said she thought we were always friends. I asked her why she would let me call her babe if she thought we were always friends and she said I don't know. She would give me the kissy and smiley emoji and even say yay when I came back and texted her. But now since I'm ignoring her, she stares at me from a distance and every time I'm nearby she smiles, blushes and stares. Also every time her friend sees me she scowls and rolls her eyes at me. The girl I was talking to is talking to another guy now, but she still looks at me, she will even adjust her seat and lunch to face my direction and when I talk to other girls she scowls at me, like wtf.
