Why do girls flirt or try to hook up with taken guys?

Many guys have experienced an increase of interest when a guy is dating or married to someone else versus when they were single. Why is this ladies? What draws you to them after they are taken?

Just to be clear, I do understand both genders do this. I only asked it this way because I simply wanted responses from the ladies alone.

Hmm, well it's probably an instinctual thing. People don't like to admit that they covet people who can settle down and be comfortable with their person. So they take it as a challenge to win them over. One to preen their ego, another because they think they deserve that sort of attention. Or they are just hardwired to cause chaos, jealousy, or vengeance.

Also a lot of times when guys/girls are in relationships they are the most relaxed because they don't have to keep playing the dating game and therefore show their most honest face. People desire what they see, doesn't make it right though

My friend said the same thing. The minute she got married she received a lot more retention from men. I guess it is not a woman thing and I personally don't get it.

This is a fair point and I don't mean to insuate that it is just a woman thing. I know it goes both ways. I simply asked with the option of girls only to reply because I wanted their opinions only.

I can think of a girl who works as a nanny, office clerk or secretary. Sometimes the older successful married man is her ticket to a better life you know. It is an easy way out. Plus some women do envy other women who got easy life without lifting a finger. In this context trophy wives and sugar babies. Add to that that married men are easy target sometimes as in easier to seduce. The older a man gets, less desirable, issues with kids and wife.. the more likely it is for him to want to be desired by a young clueless girl who thinks he is her savior. He has the money, stability, maturity, and he is disparate. She wants an assured stable man who wants to settle down and give her what he gave his wife.

Those girls have soul of a whore and are very deceptive because they don't have any respect for other people's relationships.
These homewrecking girls are bad for men as well. Because when a guy is single, she will ignore him and make him feel worthless. But the moment he's committed, her ego is hurt and she wanna satisfy her ego by controlling the man (to be in his thoughts). Or she simply is jealous of that woman and is a weak slut so she wanna break someone else's happiness. But as soon as the man is single again she will be creeped out by him showing his interest on her. She only wants to dance around, satisfy her needs and leads a man on.

I used to be this way but not anymore. I don’t know what changed, it’s like I woke up from a coma. lol. Human beings tend to be attracted to two things: desirable and popular things/unobtainable things. But it’s just not worth it.
