Why is my boyfriends mom so mean, when I was always nice and respectful to her?

When I walked into their home, she introduces me to her friend and then I go in the room and hear her say "blah blah blah, she's not pretty". And then recently she will laugh at me for not knowing how to speak my native language.

Remember, even though you're not married to her son, it doesn't mean that your boyfriend's mother isn't already thinking of you as a potential daughter in law.

anyways, some people are like that. speak to your boyfriend about it and see if he'll talk to her. if you've tried to speak to her and be friendly but she didn't want any part of it, just ignore her rudeness and continue to do you.

Thank you, that's very true. I spoke to him and told him to not make me look bad infront of his mom cuz my ex did that and in the beginning she was alright. Then she's treating me nasty now, i'm not sure what I had done or if he told her something.

She’s full of herself. It’s probably just a front for her insecurities. Someone with self-confidence and set-love doesn’t have to treat people like that especially when they know how it will affect them. Ergo she’s ugly.
