Girls, when you go out, what takes the most time?

I don't get this - women's hair looks like it should take the longest, and yet it seems that picking clothes takes much longer. Can someone please explain this?

I take at least an hour on my makeup lol. An hour is a good day.

@msc545 I can't speak for others but I wear wigs and hair pieces a lot. Takes about 30-45 minutes off of hair time

waiting for the rest of my family to get ready. I have bad anxiety so I'm usually ready hours to a half hour in advance for day trips and weeks to days in advance for overnight trips. I also have a small bag that I keep my stuff in: feminine products, phone, wallet, charger, chapstick, mini sketch book, pens, pencils, earplugs, planner, earbuds and so on. so, I very rarely need to get anything but a water bottle, which I usually have in me anyway and my bag and my phone. As I said I have bad anxiety so I usually stick to the rule of "the plan can't go wrong if there is no plan" and I do just fine that way the vast majority of the time, sometimes I have to rely on the kindness of strangers and my own knowledge and wisdom and just instinct. As I like to tell the people who question my methods "every waking minute is an adventure when you have no idea what you're doing". My family and friends on the other hand take forever.

Clothes for sure! Women have so many clothes to choose from and makes it hard on what will look good on us. Makeup takes me about 20 mintues to do and 20 mintues to do my hair. I will try on so many clothes to see what will make me look the best on me which takes longer.

I have to have everything in my purse and double check it. I don’t wear makeup, my hair is very manageable, and most of my outfits are pretty easy, so I really just need to make sure I have everything. I am the person who always has extra tissues, napkins, hand sanitizer, pads, lotion, pens, you name it. I also plan ahead for where I’m going with location specific items.

@msc545 to answer your question, clothes mostly take up time because of indecisiveness. As someone who grew up in a moderately-wealthy neighbourhood, I think that the general agreement of the women around me was that there were to many clothing options to choose from.

I rarely do so much make up or anything special with my hair, so that is pretty easy since I just go for something I have done before. Picking clothes can be the tricky part because there are so many options for me :P But in general I get ready pretty quickly for a woman. At least it is not something men I have dated complained about.

I hate makeup. It's not good for your skin, so i dont wear any makeup. For me, picking clothes takes a longer time

According to my personal experience men. All my exes took a longer time to get ready than I did. I was ready in 5 minutes, 10 at most.
