7 years on. She still hates me, I still love her?

Long story short, I 'broke up' up with her by cutting contact after 5 years.

I was a moron back then. I wanted things to be rushed and I was desperately needy.

I thought cutting contact (ghosting) would help the best.

Heard from my best friend, who is friends with her, and she still hates me. She refuses to even be in the same area as me.

I was like this too for many years, until I realised how I still felt for her and that I was just in complete denial.

What's happening? Am I going mad
