Is it bad that I wish a movie scene-type situation would happen to me?

The particular situation I'm talking about is when dudes step in and protect girls. Like in the film Final Girl, for example, when Jameson (Alexander Ludwig) pulls out a gun and aims it at Shane's (Cameron Bright) girlfriend, Jen, and then Shane immediately moves in front of her and says, "No. If you're gonna shoot her, you have to shoot me." And then he goes on to punch Jameson and fight him. I'm not saying I enjoy watching dudes fight, because I don't. I've just never had someone protect me, and it's just starting to make me feel like no male on the planet would ever care about me or love me enough to do that for me. I feel really overlooked. I kinda feel like I'm not worth protecting, because of it. Is this a silly notion?

A man needs a partner that will walk beside him and if needs be grab his glock from his back pocket and neutralize the threat.

I mean, I can. I take kickboxing so I can defend myself, but I grew up feeling like nobody ever cared enough about me to protect me.

That's awesome that you are into kickboxing. I could never get into any martial arts sadly.
My point in my original post is that you must believe that you are worth protecting too and that nobody has that authority to tell you otherwise without your permission. (Yes I sort of borrowed that last bit from the Princess Diaries)

Maybe you’re just wishing to feel that sort of love from a guy to where if something bad happened, you know he’d protect you. But I doubt you’re wishing for a real life, gun at your head sort of drastic scenario lol.

Oh yeah, not literally! Yeah, I don't want a gun pointed at me, but yes I am speaking metaphorically. I am wishing to feel that sort of love. That was just example that popped into my head because I recently watched the film 😅

Yeah I figured as much lol. Well I definitely get your perspective, I’m 30 and in the first relationship where he’s very protective of me and it’s a great feeling, since I don’t feel like I got that from any guy up until now, even childhood. One thing I hope you know though is that it’s not about you. You shouldn’t equate your worth to not having experienced that sort of love. I mean protection in general just takes courage. You could be in a situation where you’re in trouble and a bystander has your back. You just haven’t experienced these situations yet, especially the love part.
