Why is my friend rubbing it in that she got called "more beautiful" than me?

Sorry this seems like a really trivial question.

My friend and I went out to a restaurant for my birthday and because we are so close, it was just the two of us. She looked so beautiful that night, she had on an amazing dress and she just looked amazingly stunning. A waiter at the restaurant said to my friend that she was the "most beautiful girl in the restaurant." She was really chuffed at that sort of compliment and I was really happy as well, it's nice to see my friends get complimented so highly and nicely. And she DID look amazing.

Well afterwards, she kept saying "I was the most beautiful girl in the restaurant, more beautiful than you." And it's been months now since that happened and she STILL brings it up in conversation. She's like "remember when I got complimented in the restaurant on your birthday for being more beautiful."

I get that she's happy about it and I was happy for her, but why does she keep bringing it up? We're both considered attractive and when I've had that kind of comment from men I've never repeated it because I don't want my friends to feel bad.

Am I ok in being hurt at this? When she brings it up I always say "yes you looked so beautiful" but she won't let me hear the end of it.

TL;DR friend got complimented at a restaurant for being the "most beautiful" and brings it up repeatedly even months later. Am I overreacting
