Girls, when you are getting ready for a date, do you realize that all those details you are worrying about won't matter to the guy?

For men, one of the mysteries of life is why so many ladies spend half of their time making sure that their panties and bra match, and they spend the other half of their time making sure that no one else sees their panties and bra!

I know that there are girls who run home, change their clothes and drag a brush through their hair, and then they are back out the door in 10 minutes. But some ladies spend hours showering, doing their hair, their nails, fretting over which outfit to wear, etc. There are A FEW guys who will not only notice all of that but will comment on it, but MOST guys won't notice, so. . . when you are getting ready and fussing over which pair of earrings to wear, do you realize that the guy you are meeting probably won't notice, and if he does notice, he probably won't care?

No, you're wrong. Guys notice all the things I do to get ready for that date.

I pay attention to details JUST IN CASE he's one of the few who will actually notice.

I know guys aren't noticing the details. I do those things for my own self-confidence.

All those details (well, except for matching underwear) have been second nature to me since I need to maintain a professional or at least presentable appearance any time I leave my place. Whether it was a date (in my dating days) or a community engagement, meeting with a family, etc., I never spent all THAT much time getting ready.

I do not spend a bunch of time getting ready but I think people who do probably do so bc it makes them feel confident- not necessarily bc it will impress. Like matching underwear for myself. I know no one will see it but it makes me feel balanced. 😊

Oh but if it’s not matching yeah it throws me off/ just a bit but still.

And I choose my clothing way ahead of time & take a pic so i don’t forget what it was, so all I ever have to do is shower get dressed go 😊

When I was not in a committed relationship and doing frequent first dates as a result of online meetings, I had a first date "uniform." I bought a set of clothes that I thought looked good on me, was dressy enough but not too much, and I only wore it on first dates. It was always ready to go and I never needed to decide what to wear.

YES ABSOLUTELY the way to go in my opinion. I have sane strategy for auditions job interviews family meetings long time friend reunions going to the park going to the museum day off etc etc. it’s not the fact I worry so much over clothing I just like to remove time sorry deciding without also impacting presentation negatively 😊

This way I can be thoughtful but feel in the moment like I’m too cool to dare 🤷🏻‍♀️ which helps me feel calm before hand lol

Actually it depends on what kind of guy you are dating there are men who do care about the hair, the manicured nails, the ensemble Afterall we all as people judge one another based on our looks, I know there are men who love attractive women who do their hair, wear some make up, wear pretty clothes and to be honest that certainly does makes any woman look more attractive.

and there are men who are into completely natural women with 0 make up, all natural.

So the woman must find her style, find what makes her comfortable and then dress like that and not worry too much about attracting men as long as you put effort into taking good care of yourself and being pleased with how you look that's all that matters as a woman!.

I'm quite simple and really haven't been on many dates. I'm not going to change the way I do things either because that's fake. If I don't go out with my friends or to events with full makeup then I won't for a date. With that being said I think men do appreciate an attractive woman but I don't think there's a man alive that would say omg that girl doesn't have eyelash extensions what a hag. We do that to ourselves as women because of societal beauty standards that want us to keep spending money.

Yes I know that he would be just as happy taking me out in sweatpants and a hoodie (which we have done many times). But I was also blessed enough to get a husband who notices when I put more effort in, and loves to dress up with me whenever we do decide to go for something nicer.

Guys can not notice that you painted your nails, or things like that. But they will notice that you are prettier if you take care of yourself. They may not be able to point exactly what it it is, but that doesn't matter.

Also most girls just do it because they like to, and not to impress anybody.

I have never been one to spend much time getting ready for anything. I choose something to wear ahead of time. I don’t ever wear high heels, I don’t have good nails that suit nail polish, and I very rarely wear makeup. I just make sure my hair looks nice, face is clean, and then I jump in the car and go.

I always liked makeup anyway-not so much a hair freak but I still get it done regularly. I’ve been with the same man almost 12 years. He told me I was sexy last night in some old leggings getting ready for bed. That was disappointing bc I really like to get dressed up and go out but if he feels old PJ pants are appealing fuck it then!

Sir I was just watching a video on YT that talks about those things. I don't wear makeup at all. I only get my hair done natural hair color. I hear from guy friends men don't like fake girls.

Yes I am aware. I don’t spend more than 5 minutes. ( I don’t like make ups.) I don’t like to wait on others and I don’t want others to wait on me.

If we are attending a special occasion (wedding parties…etc). I would get all that done professionally.
