Long story short: Met a girl a year ago at the gym, really liked each other, went out, I got needy and chased her too much then she chased me and it broke off.
I’m semi-famous with 12k followers and have a lot of women that wanted to be with me at my gym. I get a ton of DMs a day (not bragging but it can be intimidating).
We moved on into separate relationships and both encountered each other at the gym (she flirted around me, I didn’t play into it.) then we both became single in June.
Went to LA at that time and ignored her living my life then came back and would start staring at me everywhere I saw her. Talked to her and we knew we still liked each other but we were both out of relationships.
Fast forward to end of September i released a short film trailer on IG that got traction for a lot of people and she was upset I was ignoring her (was busy).
Anyway two of her friends came up to me and said she was mad at me because I play games with her which I never have and i eventually talked talked to her and told her I’m not playing games and I’m still interested in getting to know her and have fun, she understands.
Now a month later, I finally re-initiated contact over DM and had a small conversation with her. Every message I sent she would wait a day to open and read it then respond so I did the same then she waited 3 days and responded on Christmas. I responded a day later with a longer confident flirty / slight naughty-esque funny text using some puns and asking how good she is at go-karting. She opened my DM and read it last night then watched my stories and pretended to ignore me online.
I clearly know she’s trying to rattle me and it’s working. I just don’t know why she would do, maybe to stand out? I know my popularity has a factor but it’s getting annoying and I’m not double texting lol

It's how women gain leverage. The key is not to let it get to you, because then she is powerless, and ironically more attracted to you. It's just the way women are. As the physically the weaker sex, the only way to get what they want in the world is by manipulating something that their brains are literally wired for, which is emotion. Contrary to popular belief, all women are essentially masters of manipulation, so they will always manipulate men to get what they want. It's not always malicious, but it is always manipulation, and they can only getnaway with it if you're unaware its happening/ unable to manage your own emotions. In your case, she just likes you, and wants your attention. If it were me, I'd talk to her in person instead of through DM, and tell her that you're free next Friday, and want to have dinner with her at (pick a place and time). She's with it, so make a move. good luck.
Time to shit or get off the pot. Either make a move and run with it or cut her off.
Still trying to figure the best way to do that without coming off as needy, was thinking of calling her 🤔
