Is this strange behaviour?

so I worked with a girl for a week as she was stationed in my job for a week as we were short staffed. I worked in the bank. During that week we really got on well and we are both the same age (24). We worked very closely with eachother and she told me she was hoping to get into a fancy firm that my brother previously worked in. I told her my brother worked there so I arranged for her to call my brother and have a conversation as she had an interview with the firm coming up. She thanked me a lot. We texted over the next few weeks on Social media and she suggested that we go for cocktails and food at a later date. She started the job and a few weeks later I texted her to arrange a date as she previously suggested it. We met up for drinks and we had a really good time. I opened up to her about one or 2 things and she opened up to me also and mentioned that she was dating a new guy. We laughed a lot and she texted me when she got home to say that we should do it again soon. A few weeks later I wished her a happy new year and I never received a text back even though I knew she saw the message. I never bothered contacting her again but I saw her 6 months later and she walked by me and ignored me. I absolutely knew that she saw me by the way. What is up with this behaviour? Is it normal for someone to behave like this. What do you think

Sounds like maybe at one point she had interest and lost it. She obviously doesn't want contact. I think that is probably because she knew you liked her and now she is in a relationship. She might be thinking that it could get in the way. That is one possibility. What I am wondering about is how last message was almost a year ago and you are still worried about tthis. You said New Years. Well it is now October or ten months later. My advice is to let it go at this point. If ten months has passed she is not interested in contact from you.
