Why would the lady at work always stare at me when she’s in the position of power?

I just started a new job but I’m at the bottom of the totem pole. A lady who has her own office often stares at me and not sure why since she is in the top level of the company and I’m just a temp employee. She ignores everyone else in my department but seems hyper fixated on looking at me.

- She might be sizing you up since you're new, trying to get a read on you. Some bosses can be intimidating to new people.

My advice would be try not to make direct eye contact when you notice her doing it again so you don't feel on the spot.
