It varies and depends on the girl. A long time ago I had a crush on a girl and it lasted 2 years and we both liked each other but we were both very shy to do anything about it. 2 years gone by and she was still interested.
Then I meet another girl after some years and she is interested in me as well but loses interest in less than 2 weeks.
You know her more than we do and you can probably answer that question better than we can.
Ask her. Start up a conversation and sometime after it gets rolling just ask her if she wants to go do something sometime. Trust be, the feeling of rejection is 100 times better than the feeling you get when you realize you missed your chance. Don't let fear get in the way. It'll make things worse. I've been there.
it depends on how important you are to her, I have liked the same guy for over 4 years, with him loosing and gaining interest in me. this girls feelings may die down but all you have to do it do something sweet like choclates or flowers, and she will be reminded why she liked uu and probly start likeing you again!
I think you should ask her. Don't wait/hesitate you may regret it. If she says, "no" it won't be a big deal, buy if she says, "yes" you'll be a happy man.
