Hey GAGers!

We are very excited to announce Editor of the Month again! Every month we reward one Editor based on their myTakes during that month. The criteria we look for are Editors who create unique, interesting, and engaging myTakes. Creativity and variety are taken into consideration when deciding who will win.

As usual, we will be posting the links to the winner's three most popular myTakes of the month and we also share five of the community's favorites from other members as well! These myTakes are chosen based on view count as well as what the community engaged with the most.

@Unit1 Exactly. One defending this would make such an argument and pretend not to even know what others are trying to point out (or they're really that disconnected from reality)... a critic for this is going to see the conformity of choices and be like "this is just too effing obvious to ignore."

I was being a critic, but didn't feel like dealing with the wrath of triggered snowflakes. Most of which has probably wondered off to a new lands of confirmation bias by now. If my goal was to get that 'most helpful guy' award, all I simply had to do it rave about how great this is... the tribalism is ridiculous. Then there's the choices... I think the agendas in the 'SJW' department being highlighted a bit much is not just apparent... but excessive.

@Unit1 @Unit1 How so? It seems as though here, at least, those selected are based largely on their stats, which as stated collected a combined 133 Opinions and 3,821 views so far. Those views and opinions do not come from women alone. It is both women and men who fuel those statistics. Also, note that last months winner was a guy and the editors selected that month for honorable mentions were almost equally male and female. If one is attempting to be fair, basing selections on stats is one way to do that because the community has effectively chosen what they deem to be popular reading as is having more men in general write more takes that appeal to the masses. Keep in mind, what is written is not always popular in the sense that people agreed with the opinion or liked it. In fact there is a lot of discourse among the takes, but if people read it or comment whether favorable or not, in terms of "popularity," and traffic to a take, there you have it.

@BeeNee i am also aware of that. Sometimes it has been the case where one question could be asked from both sexes and the woman could get away with it. We call those double standards.
Now if we were to write a reverse version of the "dear men, suck it the F up" = "dear women, start getting F'in used to it" how would you imagine would the authors reputation be impacted, who is most likely a male? In which he states for example, that women should stop feeling entitled to be paid on dinner dates and make some financial contributions as well. Now i see some women being okay with it just like i was and some other men were in that article about us having to suck it up.

On another note as a joke there was a time when i used Elliot Rodger as my profile picture. It was reseted after a few days back to the default image with a warning from GAG.
Apparently it was considered offensive 🙄

And i had many questions removed, that the admins considered not worthy being asked despite my curiosity.

@Unit1 I don't know what you personally asked, but editors are both male and female and if you are in violation of the rules of GaG which you agreed to along with everyone else including myself, you can't claim that it is unfair or biased against you if something is removed if you have agreed to the rules that govern this site and what you post violates that. Also you can report anyone on this site as well if you feel they are in violation of the rules or block them if they are personally bothering you--also fair.

In regards to the takes, I honestly think you may be seeing what you want to see because I've read plenty of "bash" them articles from both sexes. If you don't want to be known, an author can write them Anon, and all that will be known is that he or she is fe/male, meaning there can be no retribution as it were, because people don't know who exactly wrote it.

Write the takes you want to write. If you are upset about the treatment of men, write about it, but you can't have the expectation, no one can, that all people will like or agree with your opinion or anyone else, because they are opinions. If you want more views and want your name on this list, write more---that's the crux of it all. You may find more of a following than you think on this site.

@BeeNee the thing is, that the admins have their very own understanding of their own guidelines and rules, which are not explained in the FAQ and the terms of agreement and only come to Surface as soon as we mentally or intellectually violate the unwritten rules. Then it's too late.

Also i reported some users, who had nothing more to day than vulgar and direct insults. Sure, i do block all of them but their opinions are still there and not removed.

I remember i got once my opinion removed on sexual intercourse places suggestions and i mentioned the basement. It got removed because it was considered nonsense. If that doesn't leave you any kind of negative impression on this website and it's staff, then i don't think anything else will.

@Unit1 I can't speak for Admin as to your specific issues, but in terms of other GaG members, if you didn't already know this, you can easily remove their comments on your posts: " if you don't like another members reply on your opinion, question, or myTake, you can remove it. Simply click the 'report' button. You will then see a pop-up box with the various report options, select the report option "I don't want to see this" to remove the reply. The other user will not lose Xper points in these cases but their reply will be removed from your post."

I don't see this option available in my question for the answers, that I have got.
Still in my opinion (as if it would count) the GAG admins are one of the more incompetent people I have seen online. I believe they cannot let go of their bias and favoritism or whatever it may be and actually practice full neutrality and get triggered on advanced controversial topics.

@Unit1 Sorry for the confusion. "I don't want to see this" option is only available on *Opinion Replies.* It is also only available for the Question Asker and Opinion Owner of the thread to use. Meaning, if you wrote the question, and someone replies to it, you respond, and they reply back with something you dislike, the option is available in the drop down menu. If you want to report their original response to you, it would be the options in the picture you posted. You can't otherwise remove responses in regards to other people's questions because you'd be removing responses which are technically meant for the OP.

Last point: I wrote a take long ago about the false belief we have that freedom of speech if free. In this case, you were made to read the rules that govern this site which is not your own. I don't believe there is as much bias as you state, but that is my opinion based on what I've seen, as you have your own.

But why stay, is the question I asked so many who replied? You have always had the freedom to leave and create your own where you control what is or isn't allowed or you have the option to participate as such. If you feel stifled and it's terribly biased---you've chosen to stay and continue to participate which leads me to think the good either outweighs the bad, it isn't as bad as you say it is, or you simply don't care enough to leave or attempt to instigate change. If you honestly felt that America in my take or GAG was so incredibly corrupt and lacking of freedoms, the option there and here is stay, leave, or change, you choose, but complaint without action... does that accomplish your end goal?
