How to tell a duechey guys that you've always liked him?

There's this guys in my high school and I've liked him since junior year. I've always thought he was cute and all, but his personality is waaaaayy too childish and immature (he's the douchey athletic type but lots of people know him).

But before I graduate, I want to tell him "just because" and to get it off of my chest.. I don't wanna tell him because I feel that he'll joke about "lol this potato-looking black girl likes me lol" to his friends, and his friends are kinda.. deuchey too

GUYS ONLY (and no, don't be that one girl to say "well I'm not a guy but *blah blah* - G.U.Y.S. only)

I need a guys opinion because, well, you're a guy! How would you feel if a girl told you she likes you at the end of the year of high school? And how would you take it?

I wouldn't particularly mind unless there was a high chance id be seeing her around after that. Of course its a nice thing to find out, but with this guy being a douche, there's a chance he won't care seeing how as far as he is concerned every girl likes him.

To be honest, these things never play out as well as we'd like, this ain't no Disney movie. If you don't say anything you'll neither regret or take pride in it. You'll have forgotten in a years time.

Well I'm not a jock, but I do have one of those always joke about everything personalities. I guess it would depend on some factors, the most important being if the feeling is mutual. If it was mutual, I would probably ask the girl out. Another factor would be if other people were around. I would prefer to be talked to in private about such a thing.
