Why don't guys talk to me in school?

Okay so I'm a junior in a high school that I've only been at for a year and I swear no guys talk to me. Like ever. At my old school, I had a couple of guy friends and boy friends but our friendships started through other people. I'm not the prettiest girl, in the world, but I've been told that I'm the opposite of ugly. The only thing is I'm smart - never had a B in my life kinda smart. But that doesn't seem like any reason not to talk to me. Even when I start convos with them it's just small talk. I don't always even want a date/boyfriend just guy friends. What am I doing wrong?

If a girl is incredibly attractive she'll have a ton of guy friends because they'll all secretly be waiting for their opening to have sex or start a relationship. It's not the attention you want.

To easily have a guy friend you need to be at least average (because, while we may not try to date you, we'd like to at least be able to tolerate looking at you) and have a good personality. Guys aren't a different species, we're human. We like to surround ourselves with amiable people just like any girl. To get more friends in general you need to be more fun. Although I wouldn't suggest changing yourself because you don't want to have to put up an act just to be some guy's friend.

TL; DR be yourself. Who cares if guys don't actively approach you, as long as you have friends you'll be fine regardless of their gender.

highschool... its a learning playground of emotions and relationships. its a rollercoaster pretty much. you're smart, keep at it and dont worry about the social aspect in highschool too much. college will be a threshold for you to enjoy and learn about yourself. good grades in highschool will put you in a college where people are very open and similar.

if your hot, that can be intimidating to guys your age so you should try approaching them and talking to them. Maybe offer to help them with their homework and maybe that will make a bridge to a friendship. Good Luck :)
