I need to know why some guys freeze when see a certain girl?

Some guys enter like in some trance when looking at a girl. when guy talks to someone and girl enters they get this trance when they stop talking to that person and just Stare at that girl... or tries to lock eyes.
Why?

Reason A.) I think I might recognize you as someone I know.
Reason B.) I want to enjoy the beauty of nature

Reason A can be good or bad, Reason B is good but if we get that awkward moment then I know I probably won't end up flirting with her.

He might like her a lot, but not have the confidence to talk to her. You go into a trance state as your mind starts imaging things, such as possibly kissing her or something else. Basicly fantasising.

Sure, it happens with girls as well. Though sounds like your friend is a bit of an extreme case if he does it every single time lol. To have a fantasy one just needs a trigger, and I guess she is it :)
