Why would he defend me?

There's this guy I like and he did something the other day that surprised me. He told this one guy not to cuss in front of me, even though i don't mind it. Why would he do that?

You sure he did it for you? I mean if he'd been taught from childhood that guys shouldn't cuss in front of ladies, then it won't be anything specific to you, but instead based on general principle. Have you seen his reaction to guys cussing in front of another woman?

I am sure. He asked the guy why he always cusses in front of me.

Well I suppose he thought it offended you. Friends do that sometimes.

To me, it sounds like he likes and respects you and wants others to show you respect. He sounds like a good guy : )
