Why do guys find red heads unattractive?

I am a Ginger and simply do not understand why gingers are teased and put down because the colour of their hair colour. I also can not come to a conclusion as to why it is so difficult for red heads to find soul mates (no pun intended).

Personally, I can not hate redheads. Half my family is redheaded.

And I'll pick on anyone over lots of things. Redheads are not exempt, but it's not my focus of making fun usually. - I'm kind of like a "big brother" when I insult. It's poking fun, but I usually take it as I dish it. I'll pick on muscular guys, tall guys, really short guys... people who like Ohio State... that sort of thing. It's wide open.

As for dating, there have been a few redheads that I have wanted to date in the past. I suppose I know less redheads than I do brunettes or blondes, and I suppose seeing it so often, it's not a huge issue. Perhaps there is that bit of stereotype that redheads have tempers, but when I've seen attitude, it's the attitude that's unappealing, not the red hair.

I suppose it would depend on the shade, whether it worked for their face or not. I tell you, I think Karen Gillan is beautiful.

I think it works for Emma Stone (I believe I've heard she's naturally blonde, as often as she goes with the red).

But let's look at a "short" list of actresses who have "gone red." Most were / are considered gorgeous today. Amy Adams, Isla Fisher, Debra Messing, Angie Everhart, Gillian Anderson, Jessica Chastain, Christina Hendricks, Even Rachel Wood, Cheryl Cole, Nicole Kidman, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Prepon, Rose McGowan, Julia Roberts, Joss Stone, Nikki Cox, Jessica Rabbit (ok, she's not real, but...) and the list goes on. Going back a long time ago, Ann Margaret, Rita Hayworth were top stars who were (often) redheads.

Guys have more trouble being considered redheaded and good looking. I'm not sure exactly why that is, but... maybe it's just a shorter list because if regular guys want to emulate another guy, they'll look at fashion or workout as opposed to hair color. Maybe it's because women's lists might favor other actors with genes that don't tend to go with red hair. Maybe women aren't making lists of guys as much, or at least, not in public.

You must be kidding right? There are some I don't find attractive but same goes with brunets and blonds I find them all equally either attractive or not. Tell me these girls are unattractive and and  and and so on.

I have reddish hair. I'm typically called a ginger. Am I teased for my hair color? Yes always, by friends and by guys who seem to think it's a good way to flirt. Do I think it negatively impacts my ability to get guys? Definitely not. I think everyone has hair color preferences and I don't think gingers are liked any less than any other hair color.

I don't what you're talking about. People LOVE gingers, lol. Two of my close friends are gingers and are quite attractive. I tease my ginger friends because I love them, not to put them down. Gingers are the bomb... but they have no soul...

Hair color isn't that big a deal. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I actually kind of have a thing for red hair sometimes. ._.

Actually from what I've seen and heard all around in both real life and the interwebz, a lot of guys find redheads attractive. It's the uniqueness.

Now, personally, I don't find red hair to be attractive. Which is weird because most of my "real" friends were all redheads and so were my bro and sis (maybe that's why...). That doesn't mean I wouldn't date a redhead, though.

I think girls with red hair are quite beautiful. I don't think you should assume guys don't think girls with red hair are unattractive. I've never found that to be true in all my guy talk with guys.

Red hair is great. I love red haired girls. Girls with red head can be attractive, too, and it is uniqe. A lot of girls paint her hair to red, that's why sounds crazy, if somebody sais this. Just luuk at Findley, one of the best triathlete She is almost a sexsymbol. If guys don't like the red hair girls in Canada, just come to Europe! :-) And the freckle is also sexy...
