I have this friend/coworker who is confusing. We talk at work and weve hung out outside of work a few times but not alone. At first i thought he disliked me but he started being nicer. He was friendly.
There was a day when we worked late so we went to eat at 3 in the morning with a few others. It was great. He kept laughing at everything i said. He even texted my friend that i was datable. I also mentioned that i liked some guy who used to work with us. He just looked down. Later that night before we parted ways, he asked for a hug and we did hug for a few seconds.
A month later he started talking to my friend (coworker) but he told her he didn't want a relationship. He never let anything happen. He was just extra nice to her and would buy her coffee and they hung out a lot.
One night, we were talking at work and he asked me why i liked that guy. He made me fee bad about it. We went to a party afterward where he gave me this long hug where he even layed his chin on my shoulder and brushed his beard against my hair. After that, we went to eat at 3 in the morning again and told me to move on. He seemed awkward because he had to sit next to me. That same day, he ended it with my friend.
So im over the guy thanks to his advice. And i decided to be nice one day and i covered for him on his birthday. I couldnt go out with him but a few days later, a group of us went to the movies. We ate first and we sat next to eachother with our knees touching and he just smiled. At the movies as we walked in, i was walking in the back, and before we sat, he walked behind me and i almost sat by him but my friend made me sit by her.
This guy, is often mean to me though. he's rough with me. he's harsh and isn't sweet with me like the rest of the girls. The other day we closed together and he was just silent. My friend told me he asked her about me and that guy i liked but he was snarky about it. I don't know why hed care if he's mean to me.
