How to get a guy to reply to texts faster?

So my friend set me up with this guy,
we talked for a few days then hungout in a group. he told them he liked me and thought i was nice, funny, and attractive. everything was great until yesterday I sent kind of a weird text (cause I overthink everything so it was kinda awk cause i was like "but just let this person tell you themselves" and stuff) and I don't know after that things seemed alright but then he texted me later than he normally does and it took him an hour to reply to one text and now it's taken him two hours. How do I get him to reply faster? It's hard to get the relationship back if there's this much down time.

3. Don't text back for a day.

When you text back the day after, get the conversation going until it gets really interesting again, then repeat steps 1-3.

Oh and tips for non-boring texting:

Keep it short, seriously no more than two or three short sentences.

Avoid feelings and emotions; keep it light. Joke as much as you can; I am a master of one liner texts.

Don't get into detail. Say "I am tired" but NOT 'I am tired cause I got up at 5 and had breakfast and then I went to school and then..."

Avoid yes or no questions. They are conversational dead ends.

Think of interesting questions. "If you had three wishes..." "One place you want to visit and why..." and be ready because he will flip it back on you.

Engage him in stuff he likes. "That game was insane!" "What do you think of the Call of Duty update? I don't know if I like it." See how I gave an opinion before hearing his? Means I don't care what he thinks, this is what *I* think.

Know when to drop the conversation. Let HIM be the last one to text. Find a good spot and just stop. Things like "K" or emoticon answers ,= conversation over.

In two days a person can easily change based on what the other person does. Stop stressing so much is the first thing you need to do, and dont think you have to DO something so a person will like you that's not good, a person who doesn't like you for you isn't worth your time. NEVER change for others.
just keep being yourself and dont stress the not texting back quickly thing that's silly.

You can ask him if he's busy with sth that distracts him from replying fast if not, tell him to reply faster but not in a creepy way, make sure the cconversation isn't boring

Get to know him from ques ask him about his past relationships, tell him more about you your favorite songs movies or anything, ask him what he likes, relate to what he says and stuff
