We text all the time and speak pretty often. We're pretty close and know things about each other that other people don't. Once in a while, we'll sext too. It's a bit of an odd friendship. I'm pretty certain that he knows I like him. There was one time he was telling me about this girl he'd taken out a couple of times, and I got a wee bit jealous. So it's pretty obvious. He's said several times that he thinks I'm really beautiful and wants to take me out on a date.
But whenever I make even the slightest suggestion that we actually do it, he always says he thinks it'd be too intense and that we'd get in trouble because we get on so well and things would move too quickly. I got pretty fed up with this the other day and just told him that he couldn't keep doing this.
Is he just keeping me on the hook? Am I just there for when he's bored? Or does he actually like me? I mean I do know that he's got serious commitment issues, and that he's only ever had one girlfriend (for like a year, 7 years ago). I mean, as a friend I don't doubt that he cares, but I just don't know what to do about the rest.
