i've had the same thing happen to me but with a girl.

We met at a friends work do and got along really well and exchanged numbers, a few weeks later (christmas eve) we met up, went to the cinema and then for a few drinks.

I ended up back at her house after genuinely asking to come in for a quick drink and then i'll be on my way, watched more films and ended up in her bed, we done some things but didn't have sex.

We spoke constantly for the next few weeks and things seemed to go really well and then all of a sudden no replies! I left it a month before i text her thinking she needed some time to herself and only got one reply back to my texts...

I just stopped talking to her and thought fuck it! She isn't worth it if she won't bother replying to just one simple text!

Move on, enjoy life and don't worry about assholes!! :D

That's awful girls can be super rude as well thank you for explaining that to me just having that feeling of rejection and also being ignored sucks! specially when you thought you had something special with that person but you're right its nothing to be bothered about! :)

It wasn't the best time of my life, i got depressed quickly and wasn't sleeping properly. Feeling depressed and lack of sleep was making work a misery and i wasn't going out with friends.

This lasted a few weeks to a month before i finally thought she isn't worth it and i can do better! I don't have much luck with girls so it hit me harder than it would some others :/ I'm all fine now though!!

This is funny because this is a common stereotype attributed to women.. lol.

There are many reasons. Maybe he found out something unsavory about you or was merely trying to use you. Or maybe he thought he wasn't good enough for you so he decided to cut you off before you two got serious.

Well I've known him for 6 years now and lost communication for 3 years and recently just last summer we've reconnected and have been seeing each other romantically since then he is relatively busy and I understand that and always just kept it cool he's usually very sweet and now its just lame conversations

Move on! He probably had another girl he was waiting on during the time he was sweet talking you. Sounds like he was keeping you as an option. If he really wanted you he'd be with you and woukd not be ignoring u right now.
